The Philippine Embassy in Rome thanks the Filipino communities for their fervor to help our kababayans from Norcia.

We have received information that there was a sudden influx of visitors to the temporary shelter. The shelter, which is a privately-run religious facility, has already expressed its concerns, particularly on its rules and regulations for visiting as well as space and handling challenges.

We urge relatives of the Norcia-based Filipinos to coordinate first with the Embassy prior to visiting the temporary shelter.

WE URGE EVERYONE TO RESPECT THESE PROCEDURES. This is to ensure that our kababayans from Norcia will be able to continue using the center's facilities.
