The Philippine Embassy in Rome will exclusively process the following applications:
- Applications for new passports
- Replacement of lost passports
- Applications requiring changes in the biographical details of passport holders (such as changes in name, middle name, surname, civil status, date of birth, place of birth, gender).

Reminders on Passport Releasing
- The passport is usually released within 4 to 6 weeks after the date of application.
- Applicants may check the availability of their passports through the Embassy’s website (http://romepe.dfa.gov.ph) or Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/PHinItaly).
- The Embassy’s Releasing Section is open from Mondays to Fridays, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
- Applicants should present their old passport and original receipt to claim their new passport.
- For applicants who cannot claim their new passports themselves, their representatives must also submit an authorization letter and a valid ID.
- Applicants who are thirteen (13) years old and above must sign the third page of the passport. Applicants below thirteen (13) years old need not sign the third page of the passport.
- Passports unclaimed after 6 months from the date of issue shall be cancelled.
- Passports of applicants who applied during a consular outreach will be released at the Philippine Honorary Consulate near the outreach venue.

ONE-WAY EMERGENCY TRAVEL DOCUMENT
A travel document for a one-way travel to the Philippines may be applied for by any of the ff:
1) Filipino nationals who have lost their Philippine passports
2) Filipino nationals with expired Philippine passports and who can present proof of urgent travel to the Philippines
