PH Embassy in Rome Travels to Calabria for its 12th Consular Outreach
Rome, 23 July 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Rome dispatched on 21-22 July 2018 a consular team to Catanzaro, capital of Calabria region in southwest Italy, about seven hours drive over land from Rome, to service the consular needs of Filipinos in the area and the neighboring cities of Cosenza, Reggio Calabria and even Messina.
It was its 12th consular outreach mission for the current year.
The consular team completed a total of 408 services, of which 182 were passport-related services and another 104 were related to overseas voter registration.
The PH Embassy’s partner agencies such as the Philippine Overseas Labor Office, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and Social Security Services also joined the consular outreach.
The region of Calabria is home to some 2,299 Filipinos mainly employed in the family services sector.
