Philippine Ambassador to Italy, Domingo P. Nolasco, introduces Senator Richard J. Gordon to the representatives of the Filipino community organizations at the Multi-purpose Hall of the PH Embassy in Rome on 28 June 2018.
Rome, 2 July 2018-- Senator Richard J. Gordon exhorted the Filipino community in Rome not to lose sight of their goal, to be more ambitious and to develop the values of hard work and entrepreneurship in order to be more successful.
In his meeting with at least 60 representatives of the Filipino community organizations at the Philippine Embassy in Rome on 28 June 2018, Senator Gordon encouraged them to learn new skills, minimize their vulnerability and develop entrepreneurship.
“Successful people are risk takers,” he told his audience. Learn to stay “focused, fast, friendly, flexible and forward-looking.” “You have to nurture these five Fs to achieve your goals in life.”
Since many of overseas Filipinos may not want to stay abroad forever, Senator Gordon also encouraged them to embrace his motto “work, save, invest and prosper.”
