Rome, 7 May 2018-- The Philippine Embassy in Rome held on 5-6 May 2018 its 9th consular outreach mission for the year in Reggio Calabria, southern Italy, which is home to almost 1,500 Filipinos.
The consular team completed a total of 600 transactions, most of which were related to applications for renewal of passports, overseas voter registration and services rendered by partner-agencies such as the Philippine Overseas Labor Office, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Social Security Services and Pag-IBIG.
Mr. Francesco Mortelitti, Philippine honorary consul based in Reggio Calabria, made his presence felt by providing notarial services and joining the meeting with the leaders of the Filipino community organizations in the area.

The consular team processed a total of 189 passport applications, of which seven (7) were those of the newborn.

Consul Mortelliti’s jurisdiction covers the provinces of Reggio Calabria and Messina, which host almost 3,000 Filipinos.
