Sr. Anni Gregory is one of the sisters of the Handmaids of the Immaculate who availed themselves of the consular outreach services in Napoli on 24-25 March 2018.

27 March 2018 ROME — Filipino religious missionaries were among those who availed themselves of the consular outreach services provided by the Philippine Embassy in Rome in Napoli, Italy on 24-25 March 2018.

A total of 486 transactions were completed during the consular outreach, 276 of which were related to applications for renewal of passports. It was the fifth consular outreach activity held this year by the Philippine Embassy outside Rome, the capital city.

Many of the Filipino nuns who applied for new passports belong to the congregation of the Franciscan sisters of the Little Servants of Christ the King and the Handmaids of the Immaculate, which are based in the city of Caserta, about 30 minutes away by car from Napoli.

Based on the data provided by the Ministry of the Interior of Italy, there are more almost 3,000 Filipino religious missionaries in Italy, who are holders of permits to stay. END
