Applicants await their names to be called for final evaluation, payment of the consular fees and then capture of their biometric details. The consular team completed a total of 276 passport applications in Palermo on March 03 to 04.

06 March 2018 ROME – The Philippine Embassy in Rome conducted consular services in Palermo on March 03 to 04, the first in a series of outreach services planned for this year (2018) for the Filipino community in the island region of Sicily, south of Italy.

A total of 476 transactions were completed, 276 of which were renewal of passports. It also facilitated the registration of 167 overseas absentee voters.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Social Security System and Pag-IBIG completed a total of 476 transactions.

Full consular services will be held in the cities of Catania on March 17 to 18 and Messina on April 28 to 29. There are almost 5,000 Filipinos in the island of Sicily.

Members of the Philippine Embassy’s consular staff, Mr. Joey Espolong and Mr. Soliman Andig, visit a bedridden Filipino worker at his home in Palermo for his passport renewal application in the evening of March 03. This is part of the consular outreach services which the Embassy provides for Filipinos in Italy.
