Philippine Embassy in Rome promoted Philippine tourism at the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of ASEAN
25 October 2017 ROME — The Philippine Embassy in Rome, with other Southeast Asian embassies, celebrated the 50th anniversary of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) at the Marriott Grand Hotel Flora in Rome on October 20.
The one-day event also commemorated the 40th anniversary of ASEAN-European Union dialogue relations.
At the celebration, organized by member countries of the ASEAN Committee in Rome in partnership with the “Diplomacy Festival,” ASEAN missions in Rome promoted their countries.
The Philippine Embassy promoted Philippine tourism, displayed Philippine products, and distributed tourism materials such as brochures, bookmarks, and maps. In addition, the Embassy also gave “It’s more fun in the Philippines” bags and tags to guests.
There are 6 ASEAN countries that have embassies in Rome, which are the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. END
