15 September 2017 ROME - Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs Sarah Lou Y. Arriola had a meeting on September 7 with around 50 Filipino workers’ representatives at the Philippine Embassy in Rome to discuss the PH government’s assistance program for overseas Filipino workers.
Among the key issues raised by the Filipino workers were the need to expedite the approval process for funding support for repatriation cases, assignment of experts in psycho-social counseling, deepening of relations and enhanced cooperation between the Philippine Embassy in Rome and the Filipino community in Italy.
The PH government under the administration of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, according to Undersecretary Arriola, is fully committed to respond quickly and adequately to the needs of overseas Filipino workers. END
