11 April 2017 MALTA— The Philippine Embassy in Rome was in Malta from April 01 to 02 and provided various services to more than 500 Filipino workers including 267 applications for passports, 167 employment contracts, and 126 applications for renewal of membership in the Pag-IBIG Fund.

Also, 95 Filipino workers availed of the mobile voter registration. A meeting with Filipino workers in Malta was also held.

Filipino workers in Malta, estimated to have reached 2,500, are considered one of the fastest growing foreign workers in that country, which has a population of 422,000. END
