04 October 2016, Rome – Over 350 Filipinos in Sardinia were served by the Philippine Embassy in Rome, Italy during its consular outreach mission in the Italian island from 01-02 October 2016.

An 8-man team from the Embassy, including the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) office, setup consular operations in the city of Cagliari, where most Filipinos in Sardinia are located.

For two days, the team from Rome performed 371 e-passport applications, 44 notarial services (including reports of birth and affidavits), 55 OWWA membership registrations, and 28 Balik Manggagawa Online advocacy services.

The consular team partnered with Cagliari Filipino community leaders and volunteers as well as the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Cagliari to facilitate a well-organized consular mission in Sardinia.

The Philippine Embassy in Rome extends its appreciation to all the Cagliari volunteers who helped organize the consular outreach.
