06 April 2016 - The Philippine Embassy in Rome organized a roundtable discussion on the Applicable Laws and Benefits for Women with Disability in Italy to commemorate the 12th Women with Disabilities Day on March 31 as part of the celebration of the Women’s Month.
The round-table discussion was conducted in cooperation with the Filipino Women’s Council and the Istituto Nazionale Assistenza Sociale (INAS). Embassy Personnel and Leaders from the Filipino community representing various women’s associations in Rome participated in the discussion.
Resource speakers from INAS shared their expertise on the applicable laws and benefits for those with disabilities in Italy. INAS also explained the services they provide to all workers and their families, regardless of their nationality, related to the protection of their social rights under the European, national, and regional laws, work contracts and international agreements on social security.
INAS is a social institution promoted by the Italian Confederation of Trade Unions providing free advice and assistance on state insurance, social security benefits and healthcare. END
