SALERNO

27 October 2015 – The Philippine Embassy in Rome, in cooperation with the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Naples and the Filipino Community in Salerno-Italy (FCSI), conducted on September 24 and 25 its first-ever outreach mission in the city of Salerno in south-western Italy and serviced 200 Filipinos.

During the outreach, 161 e-Passport applications, eight reports of birth and one marriage application were processed. Two hundred thirty five (235) new overseas voters were also registered. The other attached agencies in the Embassy such as the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Pag-IBIG and Social Security System (SSS)  also rendered services to the community: OWWA (60), Pag-Ibig (56) and SSS (35).

Philippine Consul General Leila Lora-Santos administered the Oath of Allegiance for Dual Citizenship Reacquisition of six former Filipinos.

The next outreach mission is scheduled from October 31 to November 01 at the Imperial Hotel in Sliema, Republic of Malta. END
