On 01-02 August 2015, a six member Consular Team from the Philippine Embassy Rome led by Vice Consul Margret Malang went to Cagliari, Sardegna to provide passporting, civil registry and overseas voting registration services to Filipinos living and residing in the island of Sardegna.
Filipinos in Cagliari patiently wait for their turn as Consular Assistants Daniel Tanwangco and Natividad Nethercott process and encode the passport applications.
Sardegna is the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and an autonomous region of Italy. The island is home to at least 1,500 Filipinos, mostly coming from the Philippine provinces of Mabini, Batangas and Baco, Mindoro Oriental.
