18-19 July 2015 – Filipinos residing and working in the island of Malta, an island situated in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea directly south of Italy and north of Libya, proceeded to Sta. Rita Church, in Triq Sqaq Lourdes in the Paceville District of Malta to avail of consular services by the Philippine Embassy.

During the outreach, a number of Filipinos registered their marriages which were solemnized in Malta and their children who were born in Malta.

At the end of the outreach, the six (6) member consular team was able to process 150 passports, 73 notarials and authentication, 18 civil registry documents, and 151 overseas voting registration.
Vice Consul Margret Malang led the consular team and was also joined by the Philippine Labor Office headed by Acting Labor Attache and Welfare Officer Loreta Vergara, Ms. May Velonta, Ms. Jonnah Cruzada of SSS and Ms. Layla Gutierrez of Pag-Ibig.
The next consular outreach will be held on 01-02 August 2015 in Cagliari, Sardegna. - END
