The Philippine Embassy in Rome, with the cooperation of the Philippine Consulate in Palermo led by Consul a.h. Antonino di Liberto and the Associazione Comunitaria Filippina led by President Natalia Pasabe, conducted a consular/POLO outreach mission and overseas voting registration in Messina, Sicily from 21 to 22 March 2015.
The seven-member consular outreach team, headed by Vice Consul Candy Cypres, serviced more than 500 Filipinos coming from Messina and neighboring Reggio Calabria, Palermo, and Catanzaro. The team processed 345 renewal of passports, 15 Reports of Birth (RoB), 1 Report of Marriage (RoM), 3 affidavits/notarials and 2 dual citizenship applications. Two hundred eighty five new overseas voters were also registered.
Welfare Officer Loreta Vergara, OWWA Administrative Assistant Corazon Sangco, Pag-Ibig Member Services Officer Delilah Gutierrez and SSS Assistant Francisco Bacol also joined the consular outreach services.
The next consular/ POLO outreach mission is scheduled in Catania, Sicily from 11 to 12 April 2015.
