On Saturday, 11 October 2014, during the Investors’ Night of Megaworld, the Philippine Embassy in Rome highlighted the crucial role of the private sector in national development and made a presentation on the robust business climate in the Philippines. Citing the Philippines as “a country of where everything is more fun,” Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. (CDA) Leila C. Lora-Santos presented the latest statistics and developments on the Philippine economy, highlighted the state of the real estate industry, and actively encouraged investments in the country.

The bright prospects presented by the stronger economic integration of ASEAN in 2015 were also highlighted, as well as the strong bilateral ties between the Philippines and Italy, with some strong personal linkages, being married either to Filipino nationals or are 2nd generation Fil-Italian nationals.

The Italian businessmen were assured of the support and assistance of the Philippine Embassy in their investment-decision making in the country, in whatever sector of their interest.
