On 27-28 September 2014, the Philippine Embassy in Rome conducted a consular outreach mission in the port city of Livorno, situated along the west coast of Tuscany, Italy.  With the support of and in close coordination with the Philippine Consulate General of Florence, the Confederation of the Filipino Community Association in Tuscany and the Filipino Community of Livorno, the outreach was the first-ever conducted in Livorno and successfully serviced around 350 Filipinos.

Among the services rendered were the processing of 227 e-passport applications, 54 affidavits/reports of births/SPAs, 84 OWWA membership and 92 Pag-Ibig membership (both new and reactivation).  Applications for NBI clearances, Dual Citizenship and extension of passports were also processed during the outreach.

In line with the Embassy’s active drive to register Filipinos for the purpose of overseas voting, the outreach also successfully registered 209 new overseas absentee voters.

The 8-man Embassy Consular/POLO team was led by Consul General/Charge d’Affaires, a.i. Leila Lora-Santos.
