18 July 2014 – Philippine Embassy representatives, together with members of the Confederation of Filipino Communities in Florence, headed to Florence to visit Mr. Alberto Pavo Pinto (born 13 January 1946), currently confined at San Silvestro Clinic (Via Borgo Pinti N. 62, Florence) to check on his condition and to facilitate his passport renewal request.

Mr. Pinto is suffering from a severe illness, unable to speak and is experiencing difficulty in mobility. His treatment is supported by the City of Florence until he is repatriated to the Philippines. He has no family in Italy and has no contact with his family in the Philippines.
