26-27 July 2014 – A five (5) man consular team from the Philippine Embassy Rome, headed by Vice Consul Margret Malang, headed to Tirana, Albania for the first time to conduct consular outreach services to Filipinos in Albania.

The team was warmly welcomed by the Filipino community in Albania, headed by community leaders Mr. Ronnie Momadre, Ms. Ruby Calumbiran, Ms. Jamely Chua, Ms. Rose Marie Culang, and Ms. Fabia Gamus.

The team processed nine (9) epassports, one (1) passport extension, three (3) notarials and one (1) report of marriage. Vice Consul Malang administered the Oath of Allegiance of Ms. Maricel Doroy Roshi, a Filipina married to an Albanese national.

The team also conducted Overseas Voting Registration and was able to register twenty two (22) new overseas voters.

The Philippine Labor Office headed by Labor Attache Viveca Catalig likewise joined the outreach and met with Albanese employers and recruitment agents.

The next consular outreach mission of the Philippine Embassy Rome will be held in Cagliari, Sardegna (09-10 August 2014).
