On 06 April 2014, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Kristine Margret Malang attended as guest of honor the Pinoy Fiesta sa South Italy 2014 in Palermo, Sicily.

The fiesta celebration, organized by the Filipino Association of Talents in Europe, featured a three-part program— namely Search for Star Kids, Pinoy Talents Pasikatan, and Search for Baby Models— to highlight Filipino culture and the talents of the Filipino youth in Palermo.

Vice Consul Malang, in her remarks, called on our second-generation Filipinos in Italy to continue to be proud of their heritage through endeavors that highlight Filipino culture, values, and history.

Philippine Honorary Consul to Palermo, Dott. Antonino di Liberto, was likewise present in the the event.
The Philippine Embassy looks forward to closer cooperation with our youth for them to effectively integrate, excel in their studies, and take active roles in socio-civic life here and back home.
