The Philippine Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) put together a team of Philippine furniture designers who exhibited the best of Filipino craftsmanship and ingenuity in furniture design.

Curated by famed Filipino designer Budji Layug, select furniture pieces from Philippine makers were displayed at the Design Philippines stand. Internationally renowned Filipino furniture designer, Kenneth Cobonpue, showcased his own collection at the adjoining stand.

Together with DFA Undersecretary Jesus Yabes, OUMWA Executive Director Reynaldo Catapang and Consul General to Milan Marichu Mauro, Ambassador Reyes visited the Design Philippines exhibition booths to show solidarity and support the Philippine furniture designers and makers.

The Salone Internazionale del Mobile is a furniturefair held annually in Milan. It is the largest trade fairof its kind in the world. The exhibition showcases the latest in furniture and design from countries around the world. It is considered a leading venue for the display of new products by designersof furniture, lighting and other home furnishings.
