Doctors from prominent hospitals in Rome gave the Filipino audience present comprehensive information on cancer prevention, particularly breast and cervical cancers.
The resource persons were Italian doctors Dr. Antonella Savarese and Dr. Emanuela Mancini both of the Regina Elena Hospital, and Dr. Tiziana Ragni Raimondi of the Fatebenefratelli Hospital.
According to the resource persons, breast and cervical cancers may not always cause symptoms, but there are screening tests that can find these cancers early, and preventive measures so that the disease can be totally avoided.
In her remarks, Consul General Leila Lora-Santos called on the public to take note of valuable information on how we can prevent cancer, stay healthy, and ultimately enjoy the fruits of our labor longer.
