PH EMBASSY IN ROME HOLDS FIRST CONSULAR OUTREACH MISSION IN MALTA FOR 2025
10 March 2025, ROME –The Philippine Embassy in Rome conducted the first of three consular outreach missions scheduled for Malta this year on 8-9 March 2025 at the Catholic Institute in Floriana, Malta, in coordination with the Philippine Consulate.
The consular outreach team, led by Consul General Randy Arquiza, provided a total of 272 services, including passport applications, report of birth registrations, notarial services, the administration of oaths of allegiance for Filipinos retaining their Philippine citizenship under Republic Act No. 9225, as well as consultations on assistance-to-nationals (ATN) services and other consular services.
The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) in Rome also rendered a total of 1,462 services, including conducting Post-Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), contract verification, membership services, and counseling, among others. In addition, the Social Security System (SSS) served 209 clients.
The remaining two consular outreach missions in Malta will take place in the third and fourth quarters of 2025.
The mission was made possible through the support of the Office of Undersecretary for Migration Affairs (OUMA) of the Department of Foreign Affairs, which funded the activity. END
