Rome, 24 January 2023.  The Philippine Embassy in Rome, in cooperation with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Rome (POLO-Rome), facilitate the repatriation of a distressed overseas Filipino seafarer. From the hospital where he was in, he was fetched by the representatives of OWWA and was subsequently assisted at the airport by both the Embassy and OWWA personnel. 

He was assisted by a representative of OWWA upon his arrival in Manila and was reunited with his wife and loved ones on 25 January 2023.  With him in the photo is Welfare Officer Norlita P. Lugtu and Philippine Embassy Rome Protocol Officer Joey A. Espolong, who saw him off at Rome Fiumicino Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport.
