ROME 13 October 2022– The Philippine Embassy in Rome and its partner agencies, in cooperation with the Philippine Consulate in Malta headed by Honorary Consul Roger Strickland, rendered a total of 1,048 services to overseas Filipinos in Mata on 08-09 October 2022 during a consular outreach program held at the the Catholic Institute, Misraj San Publiju, Floriana, Malta FRN 144.
Chargé d'Affaires, a.i. Nina P. Cainglet headed the consular team that processed the passport applications of 228 overseas Filipinos and facilitated the release of 22 passports. Other services rendered included civil registry (Report of Birth and Report of Marriage), notarization, certification, and oath taking of five overseas Filipinos who retained/re-acquired their Filipino citizenship under Republic Act No. 9225.
CDA Cainglet listened to the sentiments of overseas Filipinos in Malta and together with the team, addressed a total of 104 inquiries on consular and assistance to nationals services. POLO and OWWA rendered 460 services while SSS rendered a total of 147 services.
This is the second consular outreach mission conducted by the Embassy and its partner agencies in Malta and the eighth consular outreach mission for the year 2022. END
