Philippine Ambassador to Italy Domingo P. Nolasco leads the floral offering ceremony by the bust of Dr. Jose Rizal at the Sentro Rizal Rome in the Philippine Embassy on 29 December 2020 in commemoration of the 124th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Jose Rizal: Inspirasyon sa Pagbangon at Paghilom ng Bayan.”

Philippine Ambassador to Italy Domingo P. Nolasco, in his remarks on 29 December 2020 during the commemoration of the 124th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal, conveyed that the Filipinos, including those in Italy, should emulate the qualities of the Filipino hero. He emphasized the value of being a multidisciplinary person and being open to learn new skills. These can be applied not only in the host country but also in the Philippines especially during this period which will see a lot of changes due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
