Philippine Ambassador to Italy Domingo P. Nolasco meets a class of Italian high school students from Liceo Statale “Marie Curie” di Giulianova on 10 December 2020 and gives a talk on Philippine history, culture, government, economy, foreign policy, and multilateral engagements including the ASEAN. The online meeting is part of the Embassy’s participation in the 4th Edition of the Diplomacy Education’s Embassy Adoption Program of the Italian non-profit organization Global Action. The program will culminate with the conduct of a Model United Nations activity and the 1st Conference on ASEAN-Italy Development and Partnership: a Youth Perspective in 2021 where the students will represent the Philippines. Responding to one of the questions raised by the students of Liceo Statale “Marie Curie” di Giulianova, Philippine Ambassador to Italy Domingo Nolasco gives a background on the role of women in the Philippine society and on Philippine laws on the protection of women. The online meeting held on 10 December 2020 is part of the series of activities under the Embassy Adoption Program of Global Action to prepare the twenty students of Liceo Statale “Marie Curie” di Giulianova for the Model United Nations simulations and the 1st Conference on ASEAN-Italy Development and Partnership: a Youth Perspective to be held in 2021 where they are set to represent the Philippines.
