27 Nobyembre 2019, Rome – Matagumpay na natapos ng unang grupo ng mga Filipinong taga-Roma ang Sentro Rizal Filipino Language Training Program (FLTP) noong Nobyembre 26, 2019 na idinaos ng Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Italya at Sentro Rizal sa Roma katuwang ang National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
24 na miyembro ng Filipino community ang dumalo sa mga klaseng panggabi ng kauna-unahang FLTP sa embahada mula sa ika-25 hanggang ika-26 ng Nobyembre 2019.
Ang nagturo sa seminar ay si Assistant Professor Eilene Antoinette Narvaez ng Unibersidad ng Pilipinas, Diliman. Kasama sa mga diskusyon ay ang Ortograpiyang Pambansa o tamang paggamit ng wikang Filipino at mga metodo ng pagturo ng Filipino bilang pangalawang wika.
“Hinihikayat ko ang lahat na gamitin ang mga natutunan nila sa dalawang araw na ito upang maituro ang Filipino sa mga kababayan natin sa Italya, lalo na sa mga nakakabatang henerasyon,” sabi ni Ambasador ng Filipinas Domingo Nolasco sa mga lumahok sa programa.
Ang FLTP ay naglalayong magkaroon ng mga boluntaryong guro na maaaring magturo ng wikang Filipino sa ibang bansa, lalo na sa mga overseas Filipinos.
Idinagdag ng Ambasador na ang Embahada ng Filipinas sa Italya at Sentro Rizal sa Roma ay patuloy na makikipagtulungan sa NCCA na i-develop ang FLTP para makarating ito sa mas nakakaraming Filipino sa Italya.
Ayon kay Ambasador Nolasco, napaka-importante ng ang mga Filipino sa Italya, lalo na ang mga pangalawa at pangatlong henerasyon na maging matatas sa pagsalita at pagsulat ng Filipino dahil inuugnay nito sila sa kanilang mga pamilya at sa Pilipinas.
24 na personel ng embahada ang sumali rin sa seminar upang pahusayin ang kanilang wikang Filipino at magamit ito sa kanilang tungkuling opisyal.

27 November 2019, Rome – The first batch of Rome-based Filipinos successfully completed the Sentro Rizal Filipino Language Training Program (FLTP) held by the Philippine Embassy in Italy and Sentro Rizal Rome, in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) on 26 November 2019.
A first in Rome, 24 Filipino community members participated in evening classes held from 25 to 26 November 2019 at the Philippine Embassy chancery.
Assistant Professor Eilene Antoinette Narvaez of the University of the Philippines, Diliman, conducted a seminar on the Ortograpiyang Pambansa (Philippine National Orthography) or the standard usage of the Filipino language and the language learning methods in teaching Filipino as a second language.
“I encourage everyone to practice what they have learned during this 2-day program and promote the Filipino language among Filipinos in Italy, especially to the younger generations,” said Philippine Ambassador to Italy Domingo P. Nolasco to the participants.
The FLTP aims to develop possible volunteer teachers that would help promote the Filipino language abroad, including to overseas Filipinos.
The Ambassador added that the Philippine Embassy and Sentro Rizal Rome will continue to work with NCCA to further develop the FLTP in order to sustain the program and reach more Filipinos in Italy.
Ambassador Nolasco also said that it was very important for Filipinos in Italy to continue to speak and write Filipino as the language connects them to their families and the Philippines.
In addition to the Filipino community members, 23 embassy personnel also attended the seminar, totalling to 47 the number of participants. Embassy personnel also participated in order to strengthen their knowledge Filipino for use in official duties. END
