Applicants for renewal of passport await they turn for biometrics capturing during the consular outreach mission held in Cagliari from 27 to 29 July 2019.
ROME 29 July 2019 – A total of four hundred twenty-one (421) Filipinos were served during a consular outreach mission held by the Philippine Embassy in Rome in Cagliari City, the capital of Sardinia Island in Italy, from 27 to 28 July 2019.
The conduct of the consular outreach mission was part of the Embassy’s commitment to bring consular services closer to constituents in areas within its jurisdiction.
The consular team rendered a total of four hundred twenty-one (421) services, including two hundred ninety-eight (298) passport applications, twenty-four (24) civil registry applications, eighteen (18) Affidavits and nine (9) certifications. Two (2) individuals took their Oath of Allegiance for reacquisition of Philippine citizenship.
The Embassy’s partner agencies, the Philippine Overseas Labor Office and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, were also present and rendered services to a total of seventy (70) clients.
In the afternoon of 28 July 2019, personnel from the Embassy visited a Filipino detainee as part of its assistance to nationals program.
One thousand eight hundred (1,800) Filipinos are estimated to be residing in Cagliari.
