ROME 15 July 2019 – The Philippine Embassy in Rome organized a Consular Outreach in Perugia, capital of Umbria region, on 13-14 July 2019. The City of Perugia provided the Sala della Fondazione Sant’Anna, a cultural-events hall, as the outreach venue.
The Philippine Embassy processed a total of 321 services, including 135 passport applications, three civil registry documents, seven acknowledgements, one affidavit, two certifications, one dual citizenship, and one NBI clearance application. The Philippine Overseas Labor Office, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and Social Security System served 25, 70, and 65 clients, respectively.
Eight individuals took the Oath of Allegiance for retention of Philippine citizenship before Third Secretary and Vice Consul Nadine Morales. Councilor Michele Cesaro, a newly-elected member of Perugia City Council, which oversees the city’s political-administrative affairs, attended the oath-taking ceremony.
With an estimated 1,800 Filipinos, Umbria hosts the third-largest Filipino concentration in central Italy, after Lazio and Tuscany. END
