31 May 2019, Rome – Ms. Zebine Nissa Sarfraz of the Malaysian Embassy, Philippine Ambassador Domingo P. Nolasco, Indonesian Ambassador Esti Andayani, Myanmar Ambassador Myint Naung, Mr. Trieu Nguyen Thanh of the Vietnamese Embassy, and Thai Ambassador Chirdchu Raktabutr during the first ASEAN Committee in Rome (ACR) and Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) Friendly Bowling Tournament.

31 May 2019, Rome – The Philippine Embassy in Rome participated in the ASEAN Committee in Rome (ACR) and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) Friendly Bowling Tournament. The event was organized by the Embassy of Myanmar, current chair of the ACR.

The bowling tournament was an opportunity for the officers, staff, and family members of the six ACR Embassies in Rome namely, the Embassies of Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam, to interact and deepen the friendship not only among ACR but also with MFAIC officials.

The representatives from the Philippine Embassy in Rome won awards for several categories. Ms. Rebecca Magno won First Place for the Best Female category, Mr. Marion Reyes won Third Place for the Best Male category, Ms. Cynthia Villaruz and team won Third Place for the Best Team category, and Mr. Joey Espolong and team won Second Place for the Best Team category. Ambassador Domingo P. Nolasco, Ambassador Myint Naung, Ambassador Esti Andayani, Ambassador Chirdchu Raktabutr, Mr. Trieu Nguyen Thanh, and Ms. Zebine Nissa Sarfraz were the Champions for the Best Team category.

Other participants from the Philippine Embassy include Mr. Carlo Magno, Mr. Ric Miranda, Mr. Rammel Villena, Mr. Christian Dimayuga, and Mr. Rudolf France.

The friendly bowling tournament was a first between the ACR and the MFAIC.
