A total of 632 services, including 319 passport applications, were processed during the Consular Outreach held by the Philippine Embassy in Rome on 1-2 June 2019 in Naples, Campania region, where an estimated 3,570 Filipinos reside, the second-largest concentration of such in southern Italy.
3 June 2019 ROME – As part of its mission to extend consular and other services to Filipinos under its jurisdiction, the Philippine Embassy in Rome organized a Consular Outreach on 1-2 June 2019 in Naples, the capital of Campania region in southern Italy.
The Embassy accomplished a total of 632 services, including 319 passport applications, three Reports of Birth, two Reports of Death, three certifications, and 10 affidavits. 11 individuals took their Oath of Allegiance for retention or reacquisition of Philippine citizenship while three applied for the same. The Philippine Consulate, Naples, headed by Honorary Consul Francesca Giglio, rendered notarial services.
The Philippine Overseas Labor Office and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration served 41 and 120 clients, respectively, while the Social Security System catered to 110.
The Outreach was held at FOQUS - Fondazione Quartieri Spagnoli Onlus, a semi-private institution for the youth in central Naples.
With an estimated 3,570 Filipinos residing in the region, Campania hosts the second-largest Filipino concentration in southern Italy, after Sicily. END
