26 April 2019, ROME – The Philippine Embassy in Rome and Sentro Rizal Rome Branch donated Philippine books to the Multicultural Library Project of Malta Libraries on 23 April 2019 at the Central Public Library in Floriana, Malta, as part of the Embassy’s cultural diplomacy efforts.

The Philippine Embassy in Rome has jurisdiction over Malta. The book donation was made as part of the commemoration of Libraries Day 2019 by Malta Libraries, the government entity managing all the public libraries of Malta including the country’s National Library and the Central Public Library.

Along with the encyclopedia, also donated were copies of the trilingual edition of “In the Hour of the Merchant and Felon,” a collection of poems by Philippine National Artist Virgilio Almario and Chairperson of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
