Italian students learn about Philippine diplomatic operations and culture. Twenty-five Italian students from Liceo Linguistico Radice learn about Philippine diplomatic operations and Philippine culture from Philippine Ambassador to Italy Domingo P. Nolasco during a lecture held on 27 March 2019 at the Philippine Embassy in Rome. The lecture is part of the Philippine Embassy in Rome’s participation in the series of activities under the Embassy Adoption Program of Global Action. The program is expected to culminate with the conduct of a Model United Nations activity at the World Food Programme, where the students from Liceo Linguistico Radice are set to represent the Philippines.

Promotion of Philippine culture through food. As part of its cultural diplomacy efforts, Philippine Ambassador to Italy Domingo P. Nolasco introduces Philippine food to Italian students from Liceo Linguistico Radice. Pancit sotanghon and canton (sautéed rice and egg noodles), puto (steamed rice cakes), and cassava bibingka (cassava cake) were served during the students’ visit to the Embassy on 27 March 2019. The engagement of 25 students from the Liceo Linguistico Radice is part of the Embassy’s participation in the Embassy Adoption Program of civil society organization Global Action. During the visit, the students also learned about Philippine diplomacy, national symbols, dance, and tourism sites.
