05-06 April 2014 – Philippine Embassy Rome representatives headed by Vice Consul Margret Malang went to Messina to extend consular services to Filipinos in Messina, Reggio Calabria and neighboring cities. The team was able to process 466 e-passports, 23 reports of birth and 43 notarials.

The Philippine Labor Office headed by Labor Attache Viveca Catalig likewise joined the outreach together with OWWA, Pag-Ibig and SSS.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Virgilio A. Reyes, Jr. actively engaged with Filipinos in Messina and Reggio Calabria and heard their valuable views on consular and POLO concerns.
