312 consular services, including 272 passport applications, were processed during the Messina Consular Outreach held by the Philippine Embassy in Rome on 9-10 February 2019.

ROME 11 February 2019 – On 9-10 February 2019, the Philippine Embassy in Rome kicked off its 2019 Consular Outreach Program in Messina, in the Italian island of Sicily, home to nearly 4,500 Filipinos.

The consular outreach was in cooperation with the Philippine Consulate in Reggio Calabria, led by Consul Francesco Mortelliti, a.h., and the City of Messina, which provided the historic Palazzo Zanca, housing the Messina City Hall, as the venue for the outreach.

The consular team rendered a total of 312 services, including 272 passport applications, 22 civil registry applications, seven affidavits, and five certifications. Six individuals took the Oath of Allegiance for re-acquisition of Philippine citizenship.

The Embassy’s partner agencies, Philippine Overseas Labor Office and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, rendered services to 219 clients, while the Social Security System and Pag-IBIG attended to 105 and 85 clients, respectively. END
