Rome, 19 November 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Italy has reached out to the fast growing Filipino population in Malta with special consular services on 17-18 November 2018 to cap its community outreach program for the year.

More than 350 Filipinos in Malta availed themselves of the special consular services, with passport applications (267), legalization of documents (25) and civil registration (18) topping the list of services rendered by the consular team. A total of 162 service transactions were also completed by Pag-IBIG.

There are about 3,000 Filipinos in Malta, considered the largest non-EU foreign group in the island-state south of Italy.
