A total of 601 consular and other services, including 256 passport applications, were processed during the Lucca Consular Outreach Mission by the Philippine Embassy in Rome on 22-23 September 2018.

ROME, ITALY 24 September 2018 – On 22-23 September 2018, the Philippine Embassy in Rome successfully held a consular outreach mission benefiting hundreds of Filipinos in Lucca and nearby areas in Italy’s Tuscany region. This was the Embassy’s first consular outreach in Lucca and its last of four such missions in Tuscany for 2018.

 

The mission team processed a total of 601 consular and other services, including 256 passport applications, 12 Reports of Birth, and 39 consularized documents. Sixteen (16) individuals took the Oath of Allegiance to the Philippine Republic.

One hundred twenty-eight (128) Filipinos applied for the Overseas Absentee Voting system for the 2019 Philippine national elections, as the deadline for registration/certification is fast approaching on 30 September 2018.

Filipinos also took advantage of services by the Embassy’s partner agencies, e.g., Philippine Overseas Labor Office, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and Social Security System.

The consular outreach, held at the Hotel Napoleon Lucca, was in coordination with the Philippine Consulate General in Florence. END
