20 September 2018, Rome – Philippine Ambassador to Italy, Domingo P. Nolasco, hosted the ASEAN Committee in Rome (ACR) Luncheon, at the NH Collection Roma Centro on 20 September 2018

The Philippine Embassy in Rome invited Dr. Stefania de Focatiis, a labor consultant, as the guest of honor to discuss Italian labor laws governing the employment of locally-hired personnel of embassies, consulates, legations, and international organizations in Italy. This was the first time for ACR to meet a labor consultant as a group.

The ACR luncheon provided an opportunity for the ASEAN Embassies in Rome to learn and clarify first-hand from a labor expert on the labor laws applicable to the Embassies employing local hires.

The ASEAN Committee in Rome is composed of the Embassies of Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam. The ACR conducts monthly luncheon and invites Italian officials and guests to exchange views on issues of interest. END.
