The Philippine Embassy Rome advises all Filipinos travelling to India that there is a current outbreak of the H1N1 virus. As of 19 March 2015, there are 1,809 reported deaths across India and 31,766 infected with H1N1.

It is recommended that travel to India be avoided or postponed until the health situation normalizes. For those with urgent travel to India, please take the necessary precautions by avoiding crowded places and the areas of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Telangana, the areas with the highest incidence of H1N1.
