The Philippine Embassy in Rome would like to share the English Translation of the updated Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) on the regulations implemented by the Italian Government in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers (DPCM) issued on 11 March 2020 ordering additional measures to contain the COVID-19 outbreak through the closure of commercial establishments except for those that sell food, medicine and other basic necessities.
The Embassy calls on all Filipinos in Italy to follow the rules and protocols set by the Italian Government to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Everyone is advised to stay at home except for those allowed by the local authorities i.e., for work needs, situations of necessity and health reasons. If going outside for the said purposes, please always bring the autodichiarazione or self-declaration and identification documents which you can present should you be checked by the police. Filipinos are further reminded to declare accurate information as police authorities could verify the accuracy of the information provided.
Non-compliance to these regulations may result to a penalty of Euro 206 or 3 months imprisonment.
Thank you.
